Weninger Pincészet

Franz Weninger ausztriai borász 1997 tavaszán vásárolt szőlőterületet a Soproni történelmi borvidéken, és alapított pincészetet a festői szépségű Balfon. Ausztriában ezt megelőzően elnyerte "Az év borásza" (1955) kitűntető címet.

A borászat mintegy 30 ha kitűnő területen gazdálkodik a Spern Steiner-, és Frettner-dűlőben. A cég irányítását 2000-től az ifjabb Weninger, Franz Reinhard vette át, aki többek között Kaliforniában és Ausztráliában sajátította el a szakma rejtelmeit. 2006 január óta a biodinamika elvei alapján gazdálkodik.
"Célom a helyi mikroklíma illetve talajadottságok megjelenítése a borokban, ún. terroir borok készítése. Szeretném elérni, hogy a Soproni Kékfrankos az őt megillető helyet foglalja el a magyar borkultúrában!"
