Storno-ház

Ha valami különlegesre, szépre vágyik a látogató, érdemes felkeresni Sopron egyik legcsodálatosabb épületét, a Fő Tér egyik jellegzetes ékkövét, a Storno-házat.

A palotának is tekinthető sarokházat korábban a Haberleiter család birtokolta, olyan hírességek vendégeskedtek itt, mint például Mátyás király. Később a Festetics család birtokába került a ház, akik a mostani végleges formáját is kialakították.

1881-ben a világhírűvé vált Liszt Ferenc itt adott hangversenyt. A ház jellegzetessége a kétemeletes, gazdag díszítésű, kerek, zárt sarokerkély és a Festetics címerrel díszített toszkán féloszlopokkal közrefogott kosáríves kapu, illetve a remekmívű Pelikános kopogtató.

Sopron gyógyszertára is üzemelt Fekete Elefánt néven.
